Description
Extension of the electrical substation serving the oil plant in Nafoora, at Sirte Bay. The project involves the design, construction, and supply of 34.5kV, 4.16kV and 480V compact and modular plug-in substations.
Carrying out n. 11 compact substations STC-Box on raised basement, connected to n. 4 oil extraction plants and equipped with:
- Air-insulated MV switchgear Normal Clad 12kV and 36kV 1250A 31.5kA (n. 56 cubicles in total)
- LV switchboards, Euro-SDS type
- RTU panels for remote control and communication
- Transformers
- Surge arresters
- HVAC installation
- Fire-fighting system
- SCADA system
- Auxiliary equipment
Considering the project destination, a Libyan desert area, all the equipment is well sealed and protected against dust, corrosion and high temperatures, typical of this region. Moreover, materials and coating used have been studied with the aim of preserving the electrical cabins over time.
