Photovoltaic Plants 10MWp

Venegas, Matanzas, Camagüey, Mayajigua (Cuba)

Description

The project includes n. 4 photovoltaic plants, with a total of 10MWp, located in 4 sites, situated in 3 different provinces of the Cuban Republic. It is part of the implementation plan of the Cuban economic development program, with the aim to reach a total of 700MW photovoltaic power supply by 2030.

Each plant includes a modular shelter, a marine ISO container (with equipment and services for the operator), medium-voltage (MV) metal-enclosed switchgears 24/36kV, SCADA system (which guarantees a centralized/digital control at three levels: locally from each photovoltaic plant, from the provincial distribution center and from the national generation renewable energy control center).
This solution brings different benefits in contexts like Cuba:
- Reduction of dependence on fossil fuels
- Microgeneration: autonomy in electricity production, with consequent benefits in terms of monitoring, control and continuity of service
- Energy efficiency with low environmental impact
