HV/MV indoor Substation 110/13.8kV 25MVA

Varadero (Cuba)

Description

Construction of an electrical substation in Varadero, located in a structure designed to protect the high-voltage (HV) and medium-voltage (MV) equipment against the atmospheric conditions that characterize this geographical area.

The project included the construction of a gas-insulated electrical substation, consisting of a H-shaped hybrid system, equipped with two input switches and two start switches, six isolators, six overvoltage surge arresters, two power transformers 25MVA and a medium-voltage (MV) switchgear Normal Clad 24kV and auxiliary service transformer.
The substation also includes low-voltage (LV) Euro SDS panels, a production and automation system for the electrical substation consisting of Euro P&C protection panels, control systems, automation and supervision, a duplicated direct current system, lighting systems, video surveillance and fire protection system, air conditioning.
