We are glad to announce that we have successfully passed the IP54 and IK10 tests on our modular compact substation STC-Box.
Last Friday, an external certification body carried out the tests to demonstrate that our shelters guarantee high protection against the infiltration of dust (IP5X) and water jets (IPX4). Moreover, we have performed the test against external mechanical impact (IK10).
The tests, carried out according to the standard, ensure the following results:
– IP5X test: after shooting talcum powder for 8 hours inside a bag that wrapped our shelter, we proved adequate protection against the intrusion of dust.
– IPX4 test: the surfaces of the cabinet were sprayed from all directions with a rotating hoop, the result shows great protection against the entrance of splashing water.
– IK10 test: the panels of the shelter have been hit by a metal object, proving the resistance against an impact equal to 5kg body from 40 cm of height, as the surfaces have not deformed.
These tests are very important for us, as we provide tailor-made E-Houses which are often destined to tropical regions, desert areas, mining plants, floating platforms, highly polluted plants, etc. Therefore, we need to guarantee the high resistance performances of our products.
